Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our team, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and automated systems. This role requires a hands-on professional who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and provide excellent customer service in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
• Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on various types of material handling equipment.
• On-Site Service: Travel to customer sites to perform scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections.
• Technical Support: Provide technical advice and support to customers and colleagues, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of service work performed, including parts used, time spent, and any additional work needed.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations. Follow all company safety protocols.
• Customer Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing excellent service, clear communication, and professional conduct.
• Inventory Management: Manage on-site parts inventory, ensuring that the necessary tools and parts are available for repairs.
• Training: Stay current on the latest technology, techniques, and industry trends through ongoing training and development.

Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment or similar machinery.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with various brands and models of material handling equipment.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Forklift Mechanic, Electrical Systems) are a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Driving License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage customer expectations.
