Plumbing draughtsman

Job Summary: As a Plumbing & Firefighting Draughtsman, you will play a critical role in designing and drafting comprehensive layouts for plumbing and firefighting systems. You will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and diagrams that ensure the efficient and effective implementation of plumbing and fire protection systems in various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Plumbing System Layout:
• Design and draft toilet detail layouts.
• Develop water supply and drainage system layouts.
• Create schematic diagrams for water supply and drainage systems.
• Prepare diagrams for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems.
• Design plant room layouts, including the arrangement of tanks and puddle flange details.
• Draft layouts for external stormwater and sewage services.

Fire Protection System Layout:
• Design floor layouts for fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, and fire extinguishers.
• Develop internal and external hydrant system layouts.
• Create schematic diagrams for fire protection systems.
• Prepare fire submission drawings as required for regulatory and compliance purposes.
• Design plant room details, including working layouts or piping for fire protection systems.
• Draft puddle flange layouts for fire protection systems.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Draughtsman with expertise in plumbing and firefighting systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other drafting tools.
• Strong understanding of plumbing and fire protection system design and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other team members.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering or drafting (e.g., diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field).
