Job Description
We are currently seeking applicants for the Shipper/Receiver position to assist our client. We welcome you to submit your application, if you are interested.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices. Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain an organised and clean warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly. Track inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products. Perform regular inventory counts and assist in inventory management tasks.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and possibly in remote locations.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehousing, or a related field is preferred. Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, invoices, and packing lists. Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer skills. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.
