Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

Our reputable client in Calgary is seeking a qualified and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with concrete industry experience. If you have 1-2 years of proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor and are passionate about creating and maintaining a safe working environment, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety matters.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in health and safety.
• Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including inspections, training, and incidents.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives.
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience as a Health and Safety Advisor, preferably in the concrete industry.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Familiarity with local, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and provide detailed reports.
• Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
