Signal Hill Animal Clinic is in search of a Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist to join our dedicated and dynamic team. We are committed to supporting pet owners and animals in the Calgary community by providing the highest quality of veterinary care.

The role of a Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist is multifaceted, and their contributions are invaluable. The day-to-day responsibilities are diverse and vital to the overall well-being of pet owners and their pets under our care.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, outgoing, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills that are necessary to thrive, as well as to provide the extraordinary client experience Signal Hill Animal Clinic is known to offer.

Previous veterinary experience or education is preferred.

A FEW OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Greeting clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Providing an excellent customer experience.
• Assisting with basic administrative tasks to support the veterinary team.
• Managing the appointment scheduler.
• Client interaction and education.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Process payments, invoices, and insurance claims accurately.
• Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
• Performing proper animal restraint techniques when assisting RVT’s and veterinarians.
• Assisting with medical procedures.
• Animal husbandry.
• Sterilizing equipment.
• Inventory management.
• Helping to maintain the hospital and ensure general cleanliness.
