Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fast-paced restaurant and bar, ensuring that the highest standards of service are consistently delivered to our customers.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:
• Establish methods to meet work schedules.
• Monitor food presentation to ensure it meets established standards for appearance and taste.
• Ensure that the restaurant operates in compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, cleanliness, and hygiene.
• Perform other administrative tasks communicated by the Director of Food and Beverages.
• Working towards exceeding customer's expectations by encouraging and promoting high levels of service.
• Ensure all complaints, inquiries, and suggestions from customers are attended to accordingly.
• Ensure staff meals are set up on time, well presented and freshly made.
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure food service and quality control.
• Address customers' complaints or concerns.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Prepare and submit reports.
• Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres.
• Supervise and check assembly of trays.
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
• Manage customer complaints and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are prepared and served in a timely manner, and that any special requests or dietary restrictions are accommodated.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years experience.
• Good sense of business; efficiency and cost effectiveness in terms of labour management in the absence of the Chef.
• Able to cope under stressful conditions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong leadership skills and an ability to make quick decisions.
• Particular attention to details: adherence to specific ingredients and of measurements needed for various menus.
• Very strong management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle criticism from customers.
