Community Support Worker - School Holiday Programme

Fixed-term (up to 30 hours per week)

$23.38 - $2+.10

Come and help us support amazing kids and teenagers during the upcoming October school holidays.

We currently have 0800-1500 roles with our Hutt Valley and Northern Suburbs school holiday programmes. We're looking for team members to help kids and teenagers with intellectual disabilities to feel safe and have fun during the holidays. If you love swimming, arts and crafts, baking, and outdoor adventures, this is the role for you!

Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will need to know how to liven things up, and calm things down, to notice how children are feeling, and to provide them with guidance, comfort or support as needed. You will need to be vigilant, warm, and creative. Additionally, as the children have a vast range of communication styles, an ability or interest in learning to find effective ways to communicate is very much preferred.
