The position is Grade 2 in Council’s salary system (from $1,001.++ to $1,127.20 per week plus allowances and 11.5% superannuation) depending upon qualifications and experience.

Labourer – Roads – Full-time

Council is seeking applications from hard working and self-motivated individuals to fill a position within the Roads & Drainage Department.

Qualifications and Experience

The applicants should have a general knowledge of construction, maintenance and associated works regarding main, urban and rural roads, urban and rural drainage and roadside furnishings.
A class C licence, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
Salary and Conditions

The position is Grade 2 in Council’s salary system (from $1,001.++ to $1,127.20 per week plus 11.5% superannuation and applicable allowances) depending upon qualifications and experience.
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
The full-time position is 38 hours per week with a fortnightly Rostered Day Off.
Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo and successfully pass a “Functional Assessment” which includes a Drug and Alcohol and a Hearing Test.
It is also a requirement, on commencement, to show evidence of having received current COVID-1+ vaccinations.
