Job Description :

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Digital Matte Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong artistic vision, technical expertise, and a passion for creating stunning digital environments.

As a Senior Digital Matte Painter, you will be responsible for designing and executing photorealistic matte paintings that seamlessly integrate with live-action footage and CG elements.

You will work closely with the VFX Supervisor, Art Director, and other team members to ensure that all matte painting elements align with the creative direction of the project.

Key Responsibilities :
• Create high-quality digital matte paintings that enhance the visual storytelling of the project.
• Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor, Art Director, and other departments to ensure consistency and quality across all matte painting elements.
• Seamlessly integrate matte paintings with live-action plates, 3D assets, and other visual effects components.
• Work with industry-standard software (e.g., Photoshop, Nuke, Maya) to create and composite matte paintings.
• Address and resolve technical challenges related to matte painting and compositing.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior matte painters, fostering skill development and growth within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies in digital matte painting and visual effects.

Qualifications :
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital matte painting for feature films, television, or commercials.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in matte painting, composition, and color theory.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Nuke, and Maya.
• Experience with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of lighting, perspective, and visual effects workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with different departments.
