Jobs/Responsibilities

The Engagement Lead is responsible for leading external and internal engagement, providing strategic engagement advice including issues and crisis management and developing an engagement framework that enhances all communications to positively position Council with stakeholders and the community. This includes:

Provide strategic engagement advice to the Manager Communications and Engagement to proactively manage Council’s external and internal engagement, including issues and crisis management.
Lead the development of Council’s Engagement Strategy with the Manager Corporate Communications and Engagement
Consider and analyse critical feedback from stakeholders and use initiative to problem solve and offer solutions
Oversee the delivery of engagement services through various channels, including online, face-to-face and other methods, for both internal and external stakeholders
Provide strategic engagement advice, liaise with and support the Chief Executive Officer, Directors, Mayor and Councillors in relation to community sentiment and emerging issues

Skills/Experience

To be successful in this position you will need:

Relevant tertiary qualification and or significant experience in a similar role
Current Class C Drivers Licence
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
