With a network of 16 schools across Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, and Singapore, our passion lies in creating stronger, safer swimmers through our exceptional programs and skilled instructors. We empower people of all ages to feel confident and capable in the water, ensuring everyone can embrace the joy of swimming.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced People and Culture Advisor to join our Corporate team at State Swim's head office in East Fremantle in a part-time capacity (four-days per week). This close-knit team oversees operations and supports our entire organisation, consisting of approximately 700 employees, most of whom are employed on a casual basis.

As the sole HR professional, this role demands a seasoned HR skillset, with expertise and experience across the entire employee lifecycle. Essential experience includes a proven track record in delivering HR strategy, working closely with a leadership team, and a strong knowledge of industrial relations.

The People and Culture Advisor will:

Be responsible for the day-to-day HR operations and the State Swim HR email inbox.
Develop and implement State Swims HR strategy, aligning with and supporting the businesses overarching goals and vision.

Manage recruitment and onboarding processes for permanent employees, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
Develop and deliver HR-related training programs, coaching and upskilling State Swim Managers.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, implementing policies and training to mitigate risks.
Support the leadership team through organisational change.
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating on the overall State Swim strategy and HR initiatives.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, liaising with other teams as needed.
