Description

This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies and policies, ensuring legal compliance while enhancing business performance and managing employee relations activities.

Assist in the development and execution of HR management strategies and policies.
Promote best practices and compliance with employment legislation.
Coach and advise managers on grievances, investigations, and complaints.
Ensure adherence to legislative requirements in all HR activities.
Manage employee relations activities within set timeframes.
Support business performance improvement through HR initiatives.
Provide expertise in HR/ER policy and best practice.
Handle formal complaints and conduct investigations effectively.
Profile

The ideal candidate will possess extensive HR experience, a thorough understanding of employment laws, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Tertiary qualifications in HR, legal, or business management fields
Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and relevant employment laws
At least 5 years' experience in employee/workplace relations in medium to large organisations
High proficiency in advising on HR/ER/IR policy and legislation
Proven experience in managing formal complaints and conducting investigations
Adaptability to change and ability to provide responsive services
Strong work ethic, teamwork, and proactive attitude
Superior consulting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in a unionised blue-collar environment
Business planning expertise and high-level communication skills
Exceptional analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple priorities
