Bethanie, Western Australia’s leading not for profit aged care and retirement living provider, has been warmly welcoming and caring for seniors for nearly 70 years. We strive to lead the change in the way Australians think about ageing, recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.

We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our wonderful team at Bethanie Subiaco.

Bethanie Subiaco is a 112 bed luxury facility that provides the full range of aged care services including dementia support, palliative care and respite services.

This role is currently available on a 6-12 month maternity leave cover, 36.25 hours a week. The shifts are Wednesday to Sunday, 3:00pm to 10:15pm.

About the role:

As a Registered Nurse, you will work closely with the Facility Manager and Clinical Nurse Manager to provide care and case management across the facility. Your key responsibilities will also include:

Takes immediate action to ensure nursing care is delivered in a safe and effective manner, providing direction to Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers
Completes assessment and/or admission requirements
Maintains an effective referral system to senior nursing staff, medical staff and/or allied health staff
Ensures that clinical records reflect care, in line with all accreditation standards and legislative requirements
Provides coaching / mentoring / training to staff where required
About you:

Currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
Relevant clinical experience in an aged care environment would be an advantage but is not essential
Ability to work independently and professionally
Ability to motivate staff and promote a positive work environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to a person-centred care approach when providing care services
Well-developed computer skills
Current Police Clearance, or willingness to apply for one
Willing to obtain required vaccinations – 3x covid and annual flu vaccination

The purpose of the program is to support your onboarding experience and help you transition into life at Bethanie. You will learn essential knowledge and skills and receive support from your mentor.
Salary packaging up to $15,8++ per annum for living expenses and $2650 for meals and entertainment. Salary Packaging allows you to pay for your expenses with money from your salary before tax is taken out. Pay less tax, and your take home pay increases!
