Senior Fire Door Carpenter – London - £45,000

I am currently representing a well-established fire protection company, who are now looking to expand the passive fire department. Initially, they are looking for a Senior Fire Door Carpenter – who ideally has some surveying experience – to come in and help build up the team. Ultimately, this role will see the successful applicant transition into an office-based management role.

Salary Package:
• £38,000 - £45,000

Duties:
• Working in a team and independently when required
• Liaise with management team daily.
• Perform inspections and assessments of existing fire-rated doors to identify any repairs or replacements needed.
• Install fire-rated doors in accordance with fire regulations, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Install and maintain fire-rated door hardware, including locks, hinges, closers, and panic devices.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire ratings, smoke sealing, and door clearances.
• Maintain accurate records of door installations, repairs, and inspections.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Travel to multiple sites as required.

Area of cover:
• London and home counties

Requirements:
• UK Driving License
• All aspects of fire door Inspection, installation and maintenance
• Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, carpentry techniques, and possess strong attention to detail
• NVQ 2 Carpentry
• Health & Safety awareness, and safe working
