The vibrant Town of Victoria Park is seeking an energetic, passionate, and experienced Events Officer to join our Events, Arts and Funding team in a full-time capacity.

Your new role

As part of the Events, Arts and Funding team, the Events Officer position will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of the Town’s community and civic events.

Responsibilities include:

initiate, plan and coordinate a range of events concurrently.
manage event logistics and monitor event budgets.
facilitate collaborative partnerships with community to design and deliver events.
draft event related procedures and policies.
actively seek grant and sponsorship opportunities for Town events and initiatives.
promote and develop volunteer participation in Town events and initiatives.
provide community groups, and internal teams, with end-to-end support with planning and delivery of events.
To be successful in this position, you will need to be self-motivated and solution-focused, with highly developed interpersonal and event management skills.

Our ideal candidate will have

formal qualifications in event management, and/or community development
experience managing community and civic events
experience sourcing grants and sponsorship
experience supporting community-led initiatives and events
understanding of an Asset Based Community Development approach for events and initiatives

salary range of $82,602 - $+4,323 per annum
