HGV Class 1 Driver

Job description
Due to Fleet expansion, Plantforce are looking to recruit a Class 1 HGV driver to join our team at our Midlands Depot.

The Role
• Loading, unloading and transporting Construction plant equipment and attachments
• Loading and securing each load in compliance with the required regulation.
• Carrying out and completing delivery and collection checks on each load ensuring all aspects of the load are captured using a tablet based reporting system.
• Daily vehicle checks and inspections on the allocated vehicle reporting any defects to the transport manager immediately ensuring constant compliance in line with regulations and company standards.
• Upkeep, light maintenance and housekeeping of your allocated vehicle.
• Monday to Friday and some weekend work as and when required.

Requirements
• A Clean Class 1 licence
• Candidates will ideally have experience in abnormal loads, loading, securing and transporting of plant equipment
• NPORS or CPCS Loader Securer advantageous
• FORS eLearning modules advantageous
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good initiative.
• Good time management.
• Good organisational skills.

Additional Information
• Expected hours: 55 per week
• Monday to Friday
• Driving: 1 year (Essential)
• Licence/Certification: Clean class 1 licence (required)
