Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/JS)

Cardiff 2 days a week with parking on site

£50,000 - £55,000 + 5% bonus

Role Overview:

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our development team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both back-end (80%) and front-end (20%) components of our applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Java and React (experience with Vue or Angular is also considered).
• Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and practices.

Requirements:
• 3+ years experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or similar role.
• Background in Java development.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React (Vue or Angular experience is also considered).
• Solid understanding of web development principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g, Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and on-site work as required.
