ROLE: SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (FULL STACK)

REPORTING TO: LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

LOCATION: BALLYNURE / HYBRID

DIVISION: GROUP

Role Overview:

The software development team supports the business, writing services and applications to help improve business processes and integrate with third parties to exchange data. The Software Developer will work on a wide variety of projects as part of a team that has an open mind to technologies and they will have a voice in the direction of the applications that are written. They will be fully involved in the software development cycle and work closely with all the teams across the company as we scope out new projects, design, develop and deploy our solutions. They will also gain an excellent understanding of the logistics industry with one of Northern Ireland’s top transport companies.

Main duties:
• Assist with support and maintaining the current software base.
• Participate in code reviews to provide feedback on code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
• Write clean and maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Work with the team to design and develop new applications to help improve business processes.
• Create and integrate APIs and services to enhance the functionality of existing applications.
• Liaise across the company as necessary to ensure that the software meets the needs of the users.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to but not limited to customer integrations and customer web portals.

Essential Criteria:
• 3+ years experience in C# (.NET Framework, .NET Core)
• Blazor, DevExpress
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control
• React/NEXT.js experience
• Strong SQL knowledge
• A willingness to learn, share and improve
• Great written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Criteria:
• Go programming experience
• Understanding of Oracle database
• UX Design Skills
