HFD have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Head Office team based at our offices at 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow OR Strathclyde Business Park, Glasgow.

This role, reporting to the Financial Controller, will be in a small finance team assisting with the preparation and completion of monthly management accounts. The candidate will have a strong hands-on approach within a fast-paced business. Strong technical skills and advanced use of Excel are required as is the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines. Familiarity with SAGE and TRAMPS property software by Trace Solutions would be an advantage.

Key duties of this role will include:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary to strict deadlines for multiple group companies.
• Strong technical ability across the full Balance Sheet and P & L.
• Awareness of group structures and inter group trading relationships.
• Participation in the year end statutory reporting and audit process.
• Preparation and posting of journals, nominal payments and receipts.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Sage year end and period end processes.
• Monthly creditor payment processes.
• Preparation and submission of VAT Returns.
• Review of aged debtors and creditors.

Experience/Qualifications:
• Experience working in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications such as Excel, Outlook and Word
• Work efficiently with good time management.
• Ability to work on your own initiative, although also as part of a team.
• Familiarity with financial regulations.
