INSTRUMENT MECHANIC | KUWAIT

JOB DESCRIPTION

1.1 Perform simple breakdown maintenance and tubing, impulse line laying etc.

of instruments.

1.2 Perform skilled fitting duties for the installation and removal of a full range

of field instruments.

1.3 Perform check on control loop for simple faults.

1.4 Assist instrument personnel like Instrument Technician in the performance

of Preventive Maintenance.

1.5 Ensure safe working conditions.

1.6 Assist in general housekeeping.

1.7 Disassemble / assemble control valves, bolt / unbolt heavy items and assist

in tagging, lifting of valves etc.

1.8 Performs excavation works, chipping floor, walls etc. as and when

necessary.

1.+ Assist in transporting of materials from and to workshop / stores.

1.10 Assist in loading and unloading of cylinders and equipment.

1.11 Perform impulse tubing jobs, like laying of SS Tube Manifolds including

bending, fixing.

2.0 QUALIFICATIONS :

2.1 Must have passed Higher Secondary School Examination (12 Years of

schooling).

2.2 Must have passed ITI or NCTVT (two years full time course) in

Instrumentation trade.

3.0 EXPERIENCE

3.1 Have Six (6) years of experience in Refinery / Petrochemical / Fertilizers.

3.2 Have a good basic knowledge of calibration works.

3.3 Skilled in the use of hand tools associated with his work.

3.4 Aware of Safety requirements.

3.5 Should be very conversant with Instrument impulse tubing standards and

should do all types of Stainless steel tubing but not limited to ¼, ½, 3 / 8 and

1 / 8 inch.

3.6 Should assist the Instrument Technician to perform all types of activities.

3.7 Capable to drop the control valves, Displacers Level Switches and all type

of field instruments independently and with others.

3.8 Should have excellent team sprit to do all types of instrument jobs.

4.0 COMMUNICATION SKILL

Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Spoken and understanding

knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
