About The Job

As a Java Developer with 3-7 years of experience, you'll be working on our in-house created package, ‘Miles’. This ERP software is designed for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. The solution covers front, mid, and back-office functions, offering extensive customization through configuration and custom development to meet customers' specific needs.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes developers, business consultants, and testers, all working together to cover our end-to-end business flow. With a broad base of knowledge and expertise, you’ll thrive in our agile work environment, participating in scrum, daily stand-ups, and backlog refinement. You'll also join our global Java community, which connects Software Engineers within Sofico worldwide, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

This position is based in Sydney and offers a hybrid work model: three days in-office and two days remote. Candidates must have full working rights in Australia, as sponsorship is not available.

In your application, please elaborate on the following aspects of your career:

Experience spanning 3-7 years
Expertise as either a Full Stack Developer or specialization in Back End development
Proficiency in J2EE, SQL/JPA, Hibernate
Experience working with both microservices and monolithic architectures
Familiarity with Agile Methodology
Exposure to Automotive, Finance, or Leasing industries
Experience in constructing and deploying solutions, both internally and for clients
Engagement in enhancing current applications, developing new modules, or executing customization projects for clients
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems systematically, with project-specific details included in your application
Fluency in English, suited to our international and multicultural environment
