My job

We are looking for a Canteen Team Leader for our added value site in Corsham. The purpose of the role is to supervise a small and friendly team of 3 members of staff, this role is key to ensuring the canteen runs smoothly on a daily basis. We are looking for a person who is reliable and conscientious, reporting to our Canteen Manager.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 10:15AM - 18:15PM

Role includes:
• Stock taking and product rotation
• Serving of food and beverages
• Collect money and operate cash till
• Responsible for cashing up at end of shift
• Cleaning of kitchen equipment, worktops, tables and floors
• Opening/Closing Canteen at start/end of shift
• Deputise for Canteen Manager during periods of holiday/sickness, to include ordering of stock, end of day/week/month accounts
• Preparing and cooking of food
• Assist Canteen Manager with implementation of new processes/procedures including compliance documentation

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills:
• High level of English & numeracy skills
• Good team player
• Flexibility
• Good customer service
• Willingness to participate in training
• Own transport

Essential:
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (training provided on site)
• Previous experience working in a Canteen/Restaurant role.
• Previous experience cooking and planning menus
