Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
Design Conceptualisation: Generate creative ideas and concepts for fashion collections based on market trends, consumer preferences, and brand identity.
Sketching and Prototyping: Create detailed sketches, illustrations, or digital renderings of designs. Develop prototypes or samples to test design concepts and patterns.
Fabric and Material Selection: Choose appropriate fabrics, colors, and materials that align with the design vision and desired quality.
Pattern Making: Collaborate with pattern makers to translate design concepts into technical patterns and specifications for production.
Garment Construction: Oversee the production process, ensuring that designs are executed accurately and meet quality standards.
Trend Analysis: Stay current with fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market competition. Conduct research to identify new design concepts.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams. including merchandisers, production managers, and marketers, to ensure designs align with brand strategy and market needs.
Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and collections to stakeholders for approval and feedback.
Cost Management: Consider cost constraints and budgetary guidelines when developing designs and selecting materials.
