£30,000 - £33,000 Plus Excellent Benefits
The Company
My client is a leading specialist manufacturer supplying components, services and systems. With almost 100 years’ experience they are part of a global business that supplies into multiple sectors both in the UK and internationally.
They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Technician for mechanical servicing, maintenance and / or repair of components in line with both company and customer requirements.
The Role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, as a Service Technician you will have the responsibility for carrying out any maintenance, repair or mechanical overhaul from interpreting engineering drawings to shipping completed jobs back to the customer.
This may also include:
• Component reconditioning
• BoMs
• Disassembly, assembly and inspection
• Using measurement tools (Verniers / Callipers / Micrometers)
• Machining, Milling and Turning
• Accurate and timely completion of the scope of works
• Compliance with critical safety standards
• Technical reporting
The Candidate
The ideal experienced Service Technician will be an Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer with at least 4years post Apprenticeship experience.
You will be used to a Production environment with a range of skills that includes:
• Operating Machine Tools – CNC Lathe / Manual Lathe / Milling Machine
• Managing a varied workload
• Good use of Microsoft Office products
• Strong communication at all levels
• The ability to work well within a small team
• Excellent attention to detail
