Job description
About Role:

· Develop new functions and projects with cross-functional teams

· Code new objects using Apex for customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and validation rules

· Proactively identify and implement operational improvements, enhancements, and system customizations that meet business and security requirements

· Work with Admins and stakeholders to define, create and manage complex workflow rules, data validations, and triggers

· Create and maintain documentation on our processes and procedures

· Develop integrations with other systems

· Improve the security of our Salesforce instance

· Create and maintain test cases, execute functional tests cases and adhere to test schedules

· Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Required Skills:

· 4+ years of Salesforce development experience with Flow, Validation Rules, Workflow Rules, Process Builder, and Sales configuration

· Experience with Apex Triggers, Apex Class, and Apex code

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field or equivalent

· Experience working in iterative projects, and with deployment strategies/processes (staging environment vs. production)

· Understanding of Agile-based development practices and Sprint planning strategies
