Position: Trainee Accountant
Location: Belfast
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 (DOE)
About The Opportunity
A fast-growing accountancy firm is looking for a full-time Trainee Accountant due to internal promotions. This role offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on professional development and career growth. The office has a friendly atmosphere, and all team members are encouraged to continuously learn and progress. Notably, the office closes at 1 pm every Friday, supporting work-life balance.
Responsibilities
• Engage with clients regularly through phone, email, and in-person meetings.
• Assist in preparing accounts and supporting corporate and personal tax returns.
• Handle bookkeeping tasks and prepare VAT returns.
• Potential involvement in transactional work, such as M&A and complex tax projects.
• Provide support on various projects across the business.
Skills And Qualifications
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• GCSE/A-level/Degree in a numerate discipline that showcases analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication skills.
• Previous experience in a practice environment is a plus.
