About the Role:

My client is a globally recognised, high-growth organisation that has expanded significantly through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. They are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

This role is ideal for someone who is eager to build on their accounting experience and contribute to the financial functions within the organisation. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the Management Accountants and Finance Managers in delivering accurate financial information and providing valuable insights to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary on key financial metrics.
• Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities by collecting data, performing analysis, and preparing reports.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis to support business decisions, including tracking and reporting on cost variances.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models and projections to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that all financial data is accurately recorded and maintained.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Work closely with different departments to gather financial data and provide insights that support business operations.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with a focus on management accounting or financial analysis.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
