Job description
This is a truly generalist HR role, working closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to provide HR support, advice and guidance. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for supporting HR generalist activities across the business working closely with the Head of HR to develop and implement HR strategies and policy.

Key Responsibilities
• Identify and support the implementation of HR solutions that will support the retention of our high performing employees.
• Support the successful implementation of the HR strategy across the business.
• Act as a key point of contact for any employee relations issues that arise supporting managers to ensure the appropriate resolution is achieved in a timely manner.
• Ensure our performance management activities are understood, embedded, and delivered, to enable our people to successfully deliver against the business’ goals.
• Upskill our line managers capability specifically around our people’s development enabling everybody to be the very best that they can be.
• Work with the wider HR team to develop our HR practices and processes.
• Manage, update and maintain the Company training and development budget.
• Lead on Engagement and Wellbeing activities.
• Partner with the SMT to identify opportunities across their teams that will support the delivery of our organisation strategy.
• Work with the Head of HR to manage our compensation and benefits offerings and identify opportunities for improvement.

Essential

Skills & Experience
• CIPD level 5 qualified
• Credible HR generalist background with employee relations experience
• Strong analytical skills with good IT working knowledge of HR/MRP/ERP systems.
• Have a coaching approach and/or previous experience in coaching line managers at all levels.
• Experience of managing and updating policy documents
• Good knowledge of employment law

Desirable
• CIPD level 7 or equivalent degree
• Experience of working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience of using PeopleHR
• Previously managed complex change programmes
