The Jhagadia Float Glass manufacturing unit of Saint-Gobain India Pvt Ltd – Glass Business is one of the strategic investments of Saint-Gobain in western India with the acquisition of erstwhile Ms. Sezal Architectural Glass in the year 2011. Located at Central Gujarat in Jhagadia of Bharuch District, the state-of-the-art float glass plant is spread over an area of 150 acres with its capacity to produce 550 MT of clear glass per day having the accolade of producing clear glass with less than 650 ppm of Iron setting a high quality benchmark standard within India and globally. Saint-Gobain Jhagadia also takes the pride by setting this benchmark for its TVC campaign of Clear Glass of 654 PPM. The campus also has uniquely positioned in house Sand Beneficiation plant with a capacity to produce 600 tons of treated sand/per day and a Dolomite crushing plant to cater to its raw materials requirements. Key Role Responsibilities:
• Operation and Maintenance of 66 KV switchyard, HT & LT switchgears, SF6, transformer, motors, EOT cranes, Battery & Battery charger, UPS, PCC, MCC, Plant lighting & PLC, Electro hydraulic grab, and crushing equipment.
• Responsible for Maintenance and operation knowledge in gensets, electrical Panels, Transformers, isolators and lightning arrestors.
• Maintenance of Soft starters & Automation systems & Basic operations of PLC’s and SCADA.
• Maintenance & Trouble Shooting of AC/DC machines, & Circuit Theory & earthing concepts.
• Control systems & Automation systems
• Protection and metering devices & systems
• Knowledge in VFD & PLC applications
• Knowledge of Encoders & feedback sensors
• HV, MV & LV Power systems & equipments
• Electrical generation & distribution system
• Energy calculations and efficiency improvements

Required Qualifications
• Diploma - Electrical Engineering from reputed Engineering Institutions with Good Academic record
• 3-5 years Experience in Manufacturing / Process / Engg. Industry
