Hardware Trade Counter Sales Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Kennington based team at MP Moran, a family-owned builders’ merchant. Our Kennington branch is your one-stop shop for a huge range of building and plumbing supplies.

As a Hardware Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.

Requirements :
• Excellent customer service
• Knowledge of hardware and building materials is desired
• Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
• The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

Hours (flexible and to be discussed at interview) : Monday - Friday 7.00am – 5.00pm, alternate Saturdays 7.30am - 3.00pm

Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist our customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assisting with deliveries in and out of the store
• Dealing with any telephone queries effectively and communicating with customers and colleagues
• Ordering goods
• Respond positively and effectively to customer's needs.
• Assist in the company stock counts.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
