Experience Required: 3 to 7 years of experience in food processing or a related industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager (Food Processing) to join our team in Bihar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food processing operations, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the food processing unit, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Production Management:

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the food processing unit, ensuring production goals are achieved.

Develop and implement production schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Monitor and manage the use of resources, including raw materials, labour, and equipment.
• Quality Control:

Ensure all products meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Team Management:

Lead and supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and development opportunities.
• Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards (FSSAI, HACCP, etc.).

Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to protect workers and ensure a safe working environment.

Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, and implement necessary adjustments to processes and procedures.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring timely procurement and minimizing waste.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and other necessary supplies.

Track and report on key production metrics, including yields, waste, and costs.
• Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality.

Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving production processes and technologies.

Implement best practices in food processing to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control standards, and production management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
• Proficient in the use of production management software and other relevant tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Business Administration.
• Experience working in the food processing industry in Bihar or similar regions.
• Knowledge of local food processing regulations and market trends.
