Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Labour Law Compliance:
• Ensure the company adheres to all applicable labour laws and regulations.
• Maintain and update all legal documentation related to employee contracts, workplace policies, and other HR-related legal matters.
• Work closely with the HR department to manage any legal issues related to employee relations, disputes, or compliance requirements.
Drafting and Reviewing Contracts:
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure the company's interests are protected.
• Assist in the creation of templates and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for contract management.
• Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
Legal Research and Advisory:
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to provide actionable advice to management.
• Stay updated with the latest legal trends and changes in the regulatory environment that may impact the business.
• Advise the management on potential risks and mitigation strategies in legal matters.
Dispute Resolution:
• Assist in resolving any legal disputes with vendors, customers, or employees in a timely and effective manner.
• Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary and manage relationships with law firms.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution; an LLM or specialized certification in commercial or labour law is a plus.
• 2-3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably with a focus on corporate law, contract management, and labour law compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, contract law, and commercial agreements.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
