This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading
The Role
If you are an experienced APS 6/EL 1 executive Officer looking for a new opportunity to work in high profile federal government department, are looking for a non-ongoing, temporary or permanent transfer, based in Canberra and have a clearance, this might be the role for you.
Duties
Providing leadership in coordinating activities across the Division on behalf of the FAS, involving the appropriate staff and stakeholders for increased effectiveness of the group
Co-ordinating and drafting division input into briefings, senate estimates, ministerial briefings and other requests for input/information
Supporting the Division's leadership team with the day-to-day operations of the division and ensure risks are managed and work undertaken in accordance with agreed priorities and requirements
Facilitating the delivery of accurate and timely agenda and minutes including the coordination and management of the reporting actions
Support the FAS, and Assistant Secretaries to manage and monitor the division's budget including tracking and reporting on budgets, project expenditure, procurement and workforce plans
Preparing and coordinating through relevant staff, organisational activities requiring participation, involvement, or responses by the FAS, including presentations and participation in events
Liaising and negotiating as required, to make internal and external recommendations
Providing a high-level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders with respect to the FAS requirements
Skills and capabilities
Ability to think proactively and deliver high quality outcomes while working with a high degree of autonomy
Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, set priorities, initiate action and find creative and novel solutions to problems, often under limited supervision
Sound judgement, acumen and strategic thinking
Superior written and oral communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong coordination, liaison and influencing skills
