Senior Developer | FinTec | circa £60,000 | Remote | .NET / React

I am recruiting on behalf of a FinTech company that is looking for a Senior Developer to join their team.

You will work closely with the Lead Developer and play a key role in the creation of new features and the maintenance of existing ones across the company’s diverse range of products.

You’ll be working with a range of technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET, React, Javascript, Azure (amongst many others) and have the opportunity to learn new skills.

This role would suit a Developer with .NET and React experience who has built products within a regulated domain such as finance / payroll, although, this industry experience is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop new features and maintain existing functionality across their existing products

Identify and suggest improvements within the systems to enhance performance and user experience.

Lead or support the development of various projects, ensuring high standards of code quality.

Mentor and train junior developers, helping them advance their skills and careers.Required Skills:

4-5 years of commercial experience in software development.

Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and LINQ.

Proven experience with SQL and database design.

Good understanding of React.js and core web technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.

Experience working with Web APIs and integrating various software applications.

Experience in mentoring/coaching or leading teams

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Strong understanding of clean code practices, design patterns, and SOLID principles.Nice-to-Have Skills:

Previous experience in sectors like recruitment, finance, payroll, or accounting would be a bonus

Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue.js, Angular, or Blazor.

Familiarity with cloud services (Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern security practices.

Exposure to mobile development technologies such as Xamarin, Flutter, or React Native.This role is mainly remote with occasional travel to Manchester required.
