Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our telehealth team. This role will focus on supporting physicians and healthcare providers with patient management and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a remote healthcare setting. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth virtual visits, maintaining patient records, and delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist physicians during virtual consultations by preparing patient information and providing clinical support.
• Schedule and confirm virtual appointments for patients.
• Collect and update patient information such as medical history, vital signs (as applicable), and medication lists.
• Assist with managing prescriptions, refills, and patient medication inquiries.
• Coordinate lab orders and ensure timely follow-up on lab results.
• Document patient interactions and update electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA.
• Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, or telehealth platform, providing excellent customer service and ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Help manage telehealth platform issues by providing technical support to patients when needed.
• Provide education and information to patients on treatment plans, medications, and men's health topics.
• Support the healthcare team with additional administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:
• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Certifications:
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or similar certification is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in a medical assistant role, especially in a virtual or telehealth setting, is preferred.
• Experience with men's health, including conditions such as erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, or weight management, is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms and electronic health records (EHR), preferably Eclinical Works.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask in a remote setting and work independently.
• Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism.
