Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with DB2 for z/OS v12, Connect, HADR, and Automatic Storage
Proficiency in JCL, COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and VLDB databases, including partitioning
Skills: Experience with DB2 Data Replication and having a DB2 Certification are advantageous

Responsibilities

Database Management: Design and manage database architecture, integration, data modeling, and environments
Develop and maintain related objects, security measures, and audit protocols
Performance Optimization: Oversee database performance, capacity, and availability while handling data recovery, software implementation, upgrades, and patching
Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve performance issues and optimize SQL statements for efficiency
Consultation: Provide strategic data and database solutions to multiple client groups, advising on data analysis principles, methods, and trends
Data Transformation: Design complex data transformation strategies for business intelligence and data migration, leading data mapping and model conversion projects
Documentation & Leadership: Develop and maintain database support documentation while offering oversight, mentoring, and leadership to less experienced staff
Collaborate with external consultants and DBA teams
Technical Problem-Solving: Engage in technical problem-solving across various technologies and develop customized technology solutions for clients
Availability: Ensure 24⁄7 database availability and performance, including “on-call” responsibilities
Interview & Orientation: Video cameras must be used during all interviews and the initial week of orientation
