SEND Teacher within SEND School
Location: North Manchester
Salary: £30000 - £41333 per annum
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: September 2026
GSL Education are seeking to appoint a qualified SEND Teacher at an outstanding school in North Manchester. Come and join our dedicated and enthusiastic team in September 2026 on a long term, Full- Time contract.
As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality learning experiences tailored to meet the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role requires a creative and flexible approach to teaching, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents. You will receive coaching from experienced leaders in the school to ensure that you are supported in all aspects of what you do.
Responsibilities
Designing and developing SEND curriculum at the primary level in line with national and local standards, ensuring it is engaging, age-appropriate, and meets the needs of primary level SEND learners.
Delivering high-quality science instruction, utilizing a range of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Designing and implementing assessments to gauge students' understanding and progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to guide their learning.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and development.
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
SEND Teacher Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
SEND teaching experience at the primary level preferably in the last 2 years is essential.
Have the capability to foster curiosity and interest among SEND Pupils.
Strong command of the curriculum and good behaviour management skills.
Be committed to child protection, safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
