Job Description
Due to the impending departure of the current Editor there is an opportunity for a new Managing Editor to come in and lead the small but very experienced administration/advertising team to continue to make a positive impact on the region.
It is a fantastic opportunity.
Qualifications
It would be desirable if the successful applicant was proficient in:
• Identifying and publishing newsworthy stories including local court, council, sport and community events, writing feature articles and advertorials;
• Maintaining a digital and social media platform;
• Building relationships and liaising with the community;
• Digital photography;
• Have exceptional writing skills;
• Computer skills including Quark and/or InDesign;
• Ability to work flexible and irregular hours as required;
• A driver’s licence and access to own vehicle;
• Ability to work independently as well as within a small team environment;
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
