Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Management Accountant to join a dynamic entrepreneurial company near Exeter. You will be joining the business as part of a highly effective finance team during an exciting period of growth on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Management Accountant - The Role:

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
• Producing timely monthly management accounts including providing timely and insightful management information.
• Responsible for budgets and forecasts, monitoring and reporting on variances.
• Strengthening financial management and understanding through effective business partnering.
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
• Preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Providing support to year end statutory accounts production
• Resolving accounting and systems queries from invoicing and sales teams.
• Supporting and taking the lead on finance related projects, eg improving reporting for new products.
• Identifying potential issues, developing and implementing solutions.
• Mentoring and supporting finance team members.

Management Accountant - The Person:
• We are keen to hear from qualified accountants (ACA ACCA or CIMA), or similar ‘qualified by experience’ accountants with excellent management accounting experience.
• You will be a self-starter with a desire to work in a fast-paced, change environment where you will take ownership of the management accounts.
• With business partnering experience, you’ll be a first-rate communicator able to inspire, persuade and influence.
• A natural solutions finder with excellent analytical skills.
• You will be a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with colleagues at all levels in the business.
• Good experience of systems, Sage X3 would be useful.
