An exciting opportunity has arisen with Reynolds Fitness Spa’s Limited and Reynolds Training Limited

Annual Salary £40-50k (dependent on experience) Full-time role with added flexibility around days and times.

Reynolds Group businesses are located throughout Kent in Sevenoaks, Bexley, Dartford, Sittingbourne, and Rainham.

The role will be mainly based at the Rainham office.

The Role

The business requires a Management Accountant who can play a central role in driving the ongoing organic expansion of 2 businesses. One in the leisure sector and one in the government-funded training sector.

This role will be central to all key decision-making to ensure the future stability, profitability, and growth of the group. It will need to maintain financial policies and management information systems and inform management colleagues on all aspects of company finance.

The role will need to convey concise communications to both financial and non-financial management whilst building effective working relationships and will quickly become a finance business partner to our MDs who will need assistance with activities such as project profitability.

Key areas of responsibility will include:
• Providing financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries
• Produce the annual budget and periodic forecasting
• Produce balance sheet account reconciliations
• Identify cost saving opportunities /synergies whilst driving financial progress
• Ongoing review of cash flow and forecasts to manage capital expenditure
• Liaise with external accountants to produce the annual statutory accounts and tax returns
• Calculation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
• Reconcile and post weekly cashing up from all sites
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
• Manage the finance team including date-to-day communications, motivation and performance management
• Issue new employment contracts and contract addendums
• Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
• Overseeing and improving all financial controls and processes across both businesses
• Providing all supporting analysis to validate strategy and business plans
• Provide support to key company initiatives such as system development and performance analysis

Skills and Experience

Cultural and personality fit will be crucial. The successful candidate must have a commercial mindset, high intellect, and strong influencing skills. Furthermore, your attitude and willingness to work hard to ensure delivery will be critical. Trust, loyalty and partnership are values that are very much at the core of the business units, and as such the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate these.
• Qualified Accountant with a minimum 3 years of experience
• Proven technical ability
• Understanding of management information systems
• Ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor, and control team activity
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
• Intellectual with strong commercial acumen
