Mortgage Case Manager

Job Role

Manage a case pipeline in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing workflows and coordinating with internal (Underwriters, Credit Admin, Risk, Branches, BDMs) and external stakeholders (Solicitors, Customers, Brokers, Valuers) to ensure efficient assessment and completion of Buy-to-Let applications.

Key Responsibilities
• Review legal documents and completion queries, providing written and verbal responses.
• Liaise with stakeholders to progress cases to completion.
• Act as the primary contact for solicitors and brokers post-mortgage offer, managing offer-related queries.
• Understand and apply BTL credit policy to resolve queries and manage escalations.
• Ensure legal conditions of the mortgage offer are met.
• Monitor and manage the expiration of valuations, credit searches, and offers.

Competency
• In-depth knowledge of Buy-to-Let/Asset-backed loans and mortgage completions.
• Experience in managing post-offer documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Person Specification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of credit reports and underwriting processes
• Expertise in UK banking products and legal/completion matters
