Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an accountant
Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software required
Microsoft Great Plains Accounting Software experience required
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
Ability to retain confidentiality and to work professionally with clients, staff and outside agencies
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Payroll experience
Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, verifies financial records and transactions, analyzes cash flow, reviews budgets and forecasts, oversees audits, and develops paperwork for regulatory reporting
Processes accounts payable
Processes independent contractor payroll and assists with employee payroll
Prepares financial statements and regulatory reporting documents
Analyzes financial reports
Maintains account balances and bank statements
Assists with audits and payroll taxes
Prepares financial reports for taxes
Manages general ledger and assists with month-end and year-end close processes
Assists the Director of Finance in preparing documents and interpreting complicated medical financial information
Other duties as assigned

Summary

Requirements

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required; Master’s degree a plus but not required. 5+ years of experience as an accountant. Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software required. Credible/Qualifacts electronic medical record experience is a plus.

JOB SKILLS
