We're hiring for a sharp copywriter to take our written content to the next level.

Legon Ventures is home to CheatCodes, a weekly newsletter which is geared towards helping ambitious professionals and entrepreneurs build companies.

Every newsletter is written by Timothy Armoo, a seasoned entrepreneur who built and sold Fanbytes in a multi 8 figure acquisition at 27 years old.

CheatCodes has seen great growth with 444,000 IG followers and 138,000 on Linkedin growing 30% month on month.

CheatCodes is also the name of an upcoming book with Penguin Publishing.

About the role

We’re looking for someone to lead the copywriting efforts for CheatCodes, specifically for Linkedin and our email platforms.

This is an opportunity to get on the ground floor of a major business media brand which has already started to create impact and poised to do so on a bigger scale.

What you’d be doing

Linkedin:
• Researching content ideas using our competitor research method.
• Writing copy for our Linkedin profile which involves normal text post/ carousel posts.
• Analysing data and optimising based on past performance.

Email:
• Writing our lead magnets and email automation flows.
• Creating landing pages and A/B testing.
• Creating targeted offers to our audience to drive engagement + conversion.

What you’d need to be good at:
• Copywriting - you understand hooks and how to get people to take action.
• Research - you understand what’s worked in other industries and implement them in our niche.
• Creative - we don’t need you to be a designer but you must have an eye for what looks good in content and have ability to design similar pages.

What sort of attitude should you have?
• Accountable - you take responsibility for your results.
• Get it done - you learn by taking the action and learning from results.
• Solution driven - you come to us with solutions for problems. Not just problems.
• Bias for speed - you’re able to turn around projects very fast and you pride yourself on this quality.
• Process Driven - you’re always thinking “how can we scale this” and use data to inform those decisions.
