A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Technician to join a well-established company based in North Yorkshire. This role involves assembling mechanical and hydraulic components, testing equipment, and ensuring high-quality standards in a busy workshop environment. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments to meet project deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
• Mechanical assembly of various products, components, and subassemblies.
• Conducting load testing and function testing of equipment and tooling.
• Manufacturing and testing hydraulic hoses and pipework.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure quality and meet project deadlines.
• Completing required documentation, such as timesheets, quality reports, and non-conformance records.
• Maintaining workshop upkeep and ensuring all tasks are completed following safety procedures and risk assessments.

Candidate Requirements
• Technical Skills: A strong background in mechanical assembly, ideally with experience in automotive mechanics. Competence in using hand and power tools.
• Qualifications: Mechanical apprenticeship ; secondary education is desirable.
• Experience: 2-3 years of post-apprenticeship experience is ideal.
• Key Skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities, able to interpret technical drawings and follow test specifications, work well under pressure, and maintain high standards.
• Attitude: Willingness to learn, with opportunities for in-house training and development.
