Job Opportunity
• Prevent unauthorised access, monitor alarms and conduct security patrols
• Provide traffic control, manage keys and handle locking/unlocking duties
• Maintain logbooks, issue visitor passes and manage lost property
• Offer support and information to staff, visitors and contractors
• Ensure walkways are clear, report hazards and manage emergencies
• Investigate fire alarm activations and monitor First Aid equipment
• Report potential risks of theft, damage and vandalism
• Switch off unnecessary lights and close windows during patrols
• Operate security equipment and conduct 'stop and search' procedures
• Investigate and report incidents and suspicious activities
• Provide exceptional service and assist with staff and visitor issues
• Maintain professional presentation and answer calls promptly

Essential Skills
• Must hold a valid SIA Licence
• A full UK driving licence and own transport is essential
• Must be over 18
• Must have right to work in the UK and a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment or full and part-time education during that period
• No current criminal convictions
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Be punctual and reliable
• Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights and weekends and be available as and when called upon to cover shifts, occasionally at short notice
• Be sensitive towards and show an understanding of the requirements of people with disabilities or special needs
• Prior experience as a Security Officer in the Security industry is desirable
• A First Aid qualification would be advantageous
