Legal Billing Specialist

• Prepare, review, and submit invoices for legal services to clients in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies
• Work with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information for accurate billing
• Review and adjust billing entries for accuracy, ensuring appropriate rates and timekeeping
• Manage the electronic billing process using e-billing software and platforms (e.g., ProLaw)
• Respond to client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies or disputes
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
• Assist with billing reports, analysis and audits as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records; collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile billing discrepancies
• Stay up to date with legal billing trends, regulations and software

Position Requirements:
• Proficiency in ProLaw software and e-billing platforms is a must
• Strong knowledge of legal billing practices and terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
• Must be comfortable working under tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
