Delivery Driver|Warehouse support

Job description
We are looking for event operatives to join our growing company on a full-time, permanent basis predominantly driving 3.5t goods vehicles (box vans), delivering and setting up a range of event furniture, catering and refrigeration equipment.

Role:

You’ll need a full UK driving licence (cat b) and a good level of physical fitness, as the vast majority of our stock and kit needs to be handballed off the vehicles, into various event venues and locations. During our peak summer period, both the days and travelling distances can be long and many of our jobs require our teams to work unsociable hours (including weekends) which is part and parcel of the events industry we work in.

We work nationwide, with several depots working on a wide range of some of most prestigious events in the UK. From small weddings a private ceremony to some of the most popular large scale music festivals, concerts and sporting spectacles. We can cater for the needs of any event in most areas.

This job will generally include multi-drop delivery and collection work, but you will also on occasion ride in an HGV to assist and support big projects. Previous experience doing deliveries would be ideal but is not essential, as would any experience of working in the events industry. As the customer facing part of our business, you will need to be professional at all times and have good communication skills to provide a great customer experience in a polite, courteous and proficient manner.

Because of the wide range of equipment and furniture that we provide, you’ll also need good attention to detail in order to learn and become well-versed in our vast array of products, from chairs & tables, CCG (China, cutlery & glass), industrial catering equipment to staging and modular cold rooms etc.

General hours of work are 8-5pm (1hr lunch) but start/finish times will vary dependent on the delivery schedule.

- Full UK driving Licence with no more than 6 Points

- Must be over the age of 25 (for insurance purposes)
