Our client a multi- office law firm , providing a first class service to people and businesses throughout Essex. Are seeking a detailed -orientated experienced Child Law Legal Assistant to join their expanding Family department with mainly public law cases.

The Role
• Working within the child law team dealing mainly with public law cases
• Using digital dictation system to produce correspondence related to family maters
• Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the solicitor’s day to day activities
• Liaising with local authorities, solicitors , Barristers, courts and guardians
• Processing applications, preparing court bundles
• Lodging documents, preparing short documents i.e. position statements and processing LLA online claims
• Meeting with clients taking notes
• Diary management
• General administration ,including filing ,photocopying, faxing and scanning

The Candidate
• Ideally you will be an experienced child law legal assistant, Family paralegal or Family Legal Secretary
• Experience with case management
• Experienced with processing LAA online claims
• Strong IT Skills including Microsoft Word, Excel ,Outlook
• Excellent communication skills and a sympathetic ear
• Hours Monday to Friday +am- 5.30pm
