Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree - BS or PharmD degree
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
South Carolina Pharmacist License
In lieu of an active SC Pharmacist license, may be a graduate of an ACPE accredited US college of Pharmacy with a SC intern certificate pending initial licensure or have completed requirements for reciprocity pending board of pharmacy interview for licensure
Team members employed in this job prior to July 1, 2020 are grandfathered under prior educational and experience requirements
In addition, team members must be certification eligible and will have one year to obtain required certification

Responsibilities
Provides patient care through the provision of direct operational and/or clinical patient services
Pharmacists will collaborate within the department to enhance departmental operations and clinical programs
Staff may participate in departmental committees and in the provision of education
This position will require employees to work weekends, any required evenings, and holidays
The amount of time allocated to operations and clinical services will depend upon staffing and overall pharmacy workload
Provides accurate medication order-entry, drug distribution, and patient care
Confirms the appropriateness of drug therapy as it relates to the care of neonates , pediatrics, adolescents , adults and geriatrics
Seeks to minimize turnaround time for products and services
Provides concise, applicable, timely responses to requests for drug information
Supervises pharmacy support personnel; checks and verifies the accuracy of all tasks performed
Staff may also function as a lead pharmacist within the department to monitor workload and workflow
Provides lab review, clinical services, patient education, and corresponding documentation via the departmental clinical initiatives

Job Summary

Accountabilities
