Summary

The Sales & Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting Sales and Events managers. This position works closely with and supports Event Sales Managers in contract negotiations and servicing accounts.
This position will coordinate account client needs and client events. Primary service efforts are in Banquet Food, Beverage and Setup that include menu planning, agenda setting, and hotel meeting services.
Duties also include but are not limited to contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.
Also, assist in hosting site inspections as needed, participate and/or lead event meetings and other staff meetings, assisting with administrative duties including but not limited to Word processing, account management, presentation preparation and customer follow up.
The Sales & Events Coordinator will maintain files, systems and communication to other departments as directed by Sales & Events managers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills on assignments.

Qualifications
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of computer applications
• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
• previous hospitality experience preferred
